This paper looks at the impact of adopting Information and Communication Technology on the fleet management practices of Aponye Company Limited, a leading logistics service provider in Uganda. The study will evaluate some of the challenges involved in the use of such systems and the effectiveness of the systems in responding to these challenges through a case study of Aponye Company Limited's experience with the implementation of ICT tools like GPS tracking, telematics, and fleet management software. A number of benefits have been associated with the impacts of the adoption of ICT on fleet management. Route planning and optimization, through advanced algorithms with real-time data, have indeed managed to reduce fuel consumption in many instances, thus minimizing operational costs. This agrees with what Jones & Brown said in 2022. In relation, an automated system for vehicle tracking and diagnosis has increased vehicle uptimes and reduced maintenance costs, therefore increasing the sustainability credentials of the company, mentioned by [Author et al., 2023]. In addition, ICT tools have improved safety through surveillance of driver behavior, adherence to traffic laws, and reactions to emergency situations. xienTHE EFFECT OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY ADOPTION ON FLEET MANAGEMENT IN WAKISO DISTRICT: A CASE STUDY APONYE COMPANY LIMITEDThesis
