The study aims to evaluate how NBS TV Uganda covers issues affecting children with disabilities in its programming, the frequency and consistency of such coverage, and its influence on public awareness and attitudes. The study documents from the network's media channels as well as content analysis of NBS TV shows to look at how children with impairments are portrayed. Qualitative analysis reveals conflicting portrayals, both empowering and stereotyped, while quantitative findings show intermittent coverage with notable surges during Disability Awareness Week. It is noted that there are obstacles such as potential biases in interpretation and restricted access to extensive archives. The goal of the study is to provide suggestions for improving NBS TV Uganda's advocacy work, promoting inclusive programming and successful media representation of children with disabilities. In the end, the study advances public attitudes, media practices, and policy formation in Uganda's media environment.enExploring the role of NBS TV Uganda in advocating for the rights of children with disabilities through televisionDissertation
