The research analyzes the non- legal and institutional framework governing telemedicine in Uganda, exploring the intersectionality of international conventions and instruments, regional, domestic legislation. The findings underscore the benefits of telemedicine, the barriers to its effective implementation and relevant bodies responsible for its implementation. The study concludes that telemedicine serves as an effective means of preventing and curbing diseases in rural areas and should urgently be incorporated in Uganda ‘s health sector. It advocates for increased awareness and civic education, empowering the responsible institutions, training of village health workers on the use of telemedicine to effectively solve the health needs of the remote dwellers. Telemedicine if effectively embraced, it can rapidly solve the health disparities of remote dwellers hence boosting the health sector in Uganda.enDissertation
