Item A dissertation report on a study topic risk management Practices and performance of Christian based higher Education institutions, a case study of Uganda Christian University main campus(Uganda Christian University, 2026-04-15) Cranima Leus NyapidiThis study aims to evaluate the association of risk management practices and performance of Christian based higher education institutions. This cross-sectional study applies the quantitative and qualitative approach of study. Primary data was used through the administration of questionnaire and data was analyzed using SPSS. The study was driven by the following objectives: (i) To explore the influence of risk identification on the performance of Christian based higher education institutions (ii) To determine the relationship risk response and performance of Christian based higher education institutions. (iii) To determine the effect of risk monitoring on performance of Christian based higher education institutions. To achieve these objectives descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and regression analysis were utilized in analyzing the data. The strong positive correlation between the independent variable and the dependent variable demonstrated that the better Christian based higher education institutions manage risk, the higher their performance is and better they achieve their institutional missions, stakeholder satisfaction and sustainable development. The findings recommend that institution should set a central risk register which is reviewed on quarterly basis gradual integration of risk transfer mechanism like insurance while minimizing the highly risky practice. Identification of clear institution risk appetite and tolerance, continuous education of staff and faculties about risk management and its importance for institutional performance and long-term sustenance of mission should be done.
