    The study seeks to determine the effects of betting on youth socio economic wellbeing in Kisoko Sub-county. Betting is an activity which may be summarized as involving participation in games of chance for money. In this context the researcher refers to youths. This chapter also explains the background of the study, statement of the problem, purpose of the study, objectives of the study, research questions, Scope of the study and significance of the study.
