dc.description.abstractThe study examined the impact of accounting information on investor’s decision making at Rakai Health Science Program in Masaka. The specific objectives of the study were to ensure the accuracy of accounting information, to ensure that accounting information is provided in a timely manner and to ensure that accounting information is complete and includes all necessary disclosures. The study used a descriptive cross-sectional design using both qualitative and quantitative approach to collect data from a sample of 44 respondents who gave a response rate of (88%). Questionnaires and interviews were used to collect the data from the employees and the managers of the organization. Data was collected using the questionnaires, interview guide and analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Scientists (SPSS) and content and thematic analysis for quantitative and qualitative data respectively. The findings revealed that there is a significant relationship between accounting information and decision making, and a strong significant relationship between completeness and decision making. The study further recommends that the investors should be trained to acquire necessary skills to help understand the financial reports so they make informed decisions.
