dc.description.abstractHuman resource planning (HRP) plays a critical role in shaping the organizational performance by aligning workforce capabilitieswith strategic objectives. Thestudy examines the impact of HRP ontheorganizational performance within the Ministry of HealthHeadquarters in Kampala. By employing a mixedmethods approach which includedquantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, theresearch evaluates how strategic HRP initiatives influence key performance metrics such as employee productivity, operational efficiency, and service delivery. The study identifies specific HRP practicessuch as workforce forecasting, skills development, and succession planningthat significantly affect organizational outcomes. Findings indicate that effective HRP contributes to enhanced performance by ensuring optimal staffing levels, improving employee satisfaction, and fostering a proactive approach to human capital management. The results underscore the importance of integrating HRP with broader organizational strategies to achieve improved health service delivery and operational excellence. The implications of this study provide valuable insights for policy makers and HR professionals aiming to leverage HRP as a tool for organizational success in the public sector.
