Abstract
This paper investigated the potential of the bio-enzyme and pineapple leaf fiber combination as stabilizers for the clay bricks to decrease the carbon emission firewood the usual material used in the firing process. We present a study covering the effectiveness of the hybrid bio-enzyme (Terrazyme) mixtures with Pineapple Leaf Fiber (PALF) in clay bricks as a detailed description. The results of the field tests performed in Siron clay bricks provided evidence that the use of the new material not only decreases the environmental impact but also improves the strength and water absorption of the brick itself. Which in turn contributes to the construction of the ecofriendly and sustainable building brick.
