    Such a demographic distribution suggests a possibility for a positive correlation between library staff experience and understanding of copyright law and infringement in the library environment where they work. Studies have shown that more experienced librarians tend to have a better grasp of copyright issues compared to their less experienced counterparts (Morrison & Secker, 2017). However, even experienced librarians often lack confidence and may refer copyright queries to specialists (Morrison & Secker, 2017). Research suggests that factors such as role, ideology, context, and the specific challenges they face also play a significant role in shaping their understanding of copyright law (Morrison & Secker, 2017). This thus highlights the importance of ongoing copyright education and training for library staff to ensure they are well-equipped to handle copyright issues effectively
