dc.description.abstractThe study was about the impact played by Non-Governmental Organizations on household poverty reduction in Kamengo Sub County, Mpigi District. It was guided by three objectives: Identifying the different approaches World Vision uses in reducing poverty. Determining the role World Vision plays in poverty reduction. Identifying the challenges World Vision faces in carrying out poverty reduction activities The study employed a cross-sectional survey design using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Data collection involved questionnaires, interviews, and focus group discussions. Findings revealed that World Vision is committed to fighting poverty in Kamengo Sub County. Key contributions included: Education provision, which helped reduce absolute poverty, Agricultural support. Health programs targeting disadvantaged mothers, children, and unborn babies The study concluded that World Vision and other NGOs have made significant strides in addressing poverty through initiatives like education grants, medical care, and free farm inputs. Recommendations included: Involving NGOs as major stakeholders in the education system-from planning to monitoring. Encouraging county and national governments to integrate NGO projects that empower local communities through entrepreneurship and job creation
