| dc.description.abstract | This study determined the influence of family stability on the growth of a church in the context of Kiboga Town parish in Banda parish located in Bamusuuta Archdeaconry of the Mityana Diocese, Province of the Church of Uganda. The overarching question of the study was One Family Question – What happens to a Church when its Family is not Stable? A mixed methods research design was used as a method for collecting and analyzing data from church leaders and members, more qualitative than quantitative, thereby focusing more on positive qualitative approaches. The quantitative findings showed that family stability has a significant influence on the growth of churches, as 46% of the respondents said it has a great extent of influence, 31% said a moderate extent of influence, and 7% said a very great extent of influence while 14% felt the influence was to a small extent. Qualitative results also demonstrated that stable families are supportive towards spiritual formation, involvement in church life, leadership development and sustainable evangelism. Concurrently, the study illuminates the need to build family stability to support comprehensive and sustainable church growth as a necessary step. | |
