dc.description.abstractThe study focuses on the impact of the ADR mechanisms on construction disputes in Uganda, considering the causes and implications of the construction disputes, the relevance of settling disputes through Alternative dispute resolution and examining each ADR mechanism stipulating their advantages and the most suitable mechanism for resolving construction disputes. Chapter one of my research shall entail the proposal clearly enunciating the background of ADR, the significance and justification of the study and shall deliberate on a few write-ups regarding ADR and construction. Chapter two of this study shall delve into the various types of ADR mechanisms such as arbitration, negotiation, adjudication, mediation and conciliation and the use of FIDIC contracts in the construction industry and their advantages. Chapter three shall talk about the legal regime of ADR and construction and finally, chapter four shall include a summary of my findings, recommendations and conclusion.
